Hello,

As part of a standardization of our Cognibox login process across some of our different CMS products, and for added security across our services, a change to our login page will occur Monday, May 16th 2022.

This will cause the URL https://auth.cognibox.net to be used by the CMS product to handle certain processes related to your Cognibox CMS login.
Please note, however, that the login process will remain the same and you will need to go through https://cognibox.com/ to access this new version of the login page as you did before.

The URL https://auth.cognibox.net must be able to be used by the CMS product to handle this connection process. Here are some examples to help you determine if changes are needed on your end:

Example 1: The computers you use to access Cognibox have access to all websites, without security restrictions. There are no security changes for you to make.

Example 2: The computers you use to connect to Cognibox have access to almost all websites, only some websites considered harmful are blocked. There are no security changes for you to make, since you did not put the website https://auth.cognibox.net in the list of sites you block.

Example 3: The computer you use to access Cognibox is located in a laboratory. To limit the risk of information leakage about your latest products in development, this computer blocks access to all websites by default. It only allows access to two web sites: your own company's web site and the Cognibox web site for training on laboratory equipment. You will need to modify the security of your IT environment to allow access to the https://auth.cognibox.net website from this computer. The modifications to be made by your IT team depend on your corporate security strategy and could involve, for example, configurations in the operating system, in a firewall, in a proxy, in specialized software, in a router or in other network devices.

After May 16, 2022, a user whose computer network does not allow the URL https://auth.cognibox.net may not have access to connect to some of our CMS products.

As a result of this update, some automated login processes will now require a manual login after execution:

  • confirmation of the user account following its creation,
  • recovery of forgotten passwords,
  • automatic post-subscription connection,
  • automatic connection after renewal.

API connections for customers with a subscription to the LG module, or other external systems, are not affected by this change.

Regards,
